Collecting Information
We were struggling to
getting information on the Final Round games. First, we checked FIVB
homepage and we found minimal information regarding to the World
League. We continued to checking from time to time.
Second, we checked Federacion Argentina de Voleibol homepage. Unfortunately FAV was hardly update its homepage so that we couldn't
find any information. At that time even the schedule of the
preliminary round games was not available. So we gave up and wait for
coming information.
Then the big news came in. Due to Kosobo crisis Yugoslavia was banned
the participation for the World League. Oh my god! We were
anticipating to see the rematch of the final game of the World
Championship last year. But the situation was very serious over
there, so I ashamed myself to think like that.
I was wondering what I could do for searching the information. At
this point, there was no resources for gathering information.
Suddenly a thought came up to my head.
"Why don't I ask him?"
So I took some procedure and asked whether I could get help. Time
went by and then some person at FAV (call this person Panda from now
on) contacted to me.
"I knew it! Boy, I can really count on him!"
With Panda's support we made reservation at the same hotel where all
staff & players were going to stay. We also asked his support to
purchase the game tickets, but it didn't work out. We couldn't get
the game tickets until the day of the match. It gave us hard
time.
In any case, time was ticking and we were counting down the date for
going to Argentine. The preliminary round games had started. I
couldn't wait for the departure day.
